The Future Workplace
Monday, 15 August 2011 00:00

FWimgThe integration of new technologies in the professional workplace is changing the way that knowledge workers perform their daily work. It enables them to work on-the-go with the ability to communicate globally, and have all the information they require right at their fingertips. Workers now prefer to collaborate with others to learn, generate new ideas and create innovative solutions, and they expect to be supported by their employers.

The workplace of the future is going to have the biggest impact on the success of companies than ever before. With a new generation of knowledge workers entering the workplace bringing different workstyles, attitudes and perspectives, the role of the workplace will be forced to adapt in more ways than one. It now needs to work harder, smarter, be highly flexible, support new and existing workstyles and new technologies in order to attract and engage the best talent and ensure success moving forward.

Creating Harder Working Spaces
Tuesday, 12 October 2010 00:00

HWSimg.jpgWorkplaces big and small are increasingly challenged by the pressures to improve performance and cut costs, while employees are being asked to work harder than ever. Creating a space that contains the right balance of efficiency and effectiveness is critical to creating a harder working space.

It has to maximize use of real estate, attract and engage workers, communicate company brand and culture, and foster collaboration and innovation. When creating a new space it is crucial to assess your organizational culture, integrate strategies and establish new processes that coincide with the way people work and how they want to work. It is important to ensure that all workers are engaged, and regardless of generation, all knowledge workers require a space that can support four different kinds of work; focused, collaboration, learning and socializing.

On October 3rd, 2010 the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is holding their annual CIBC Run for the Cure, a 5km walk or run in support of breast cancer research.

Atlantic Business Interiors and Design 360 have teamed up as All Boobs Incorporated Size D360 to raise money and participate in the run. Our team has set a fundraising goal of $10,000 and we have planned numerous fundraising activities to achieve this goal.

Our main fundraiser is our willworkforthecure.com website where bidders can acquire an individual or our team to “work for them” for one business day. We are auctioning off our team and individuals for our services in support of our fundraising efforts, with all proceeds helping us reach our goal of being the top fund raisers in this year’s CIBC Run for the Cure. We encourage you to visit the website and bid on our team or individuals!
