Business Development Representative – New Brunswick

ABI is currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team in New Brunswick. The ideal candidate is a natural networker with Business Development experience, preferably in the furniture, A&D, construction, or commercial real estate vertical.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Business Development Representative is a network-driven individual who has passion for the interior design process. This individual will be responsible for networking, identifying new projects, engaging clients and prospects, and positioning ABI as the ideal dealer partner when appropriate.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Meets and/or exceeds quotas for new business growth and revenue.
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains relevant industry relationships with clients, partners, and affiliates.
  • Qualify client/project needs and develops solutions to help them meet their objectives.
  • Acquires new business and develops existing business by understanding the company’s capabilities to fit requirements, positions, and levels; documents call activity; and develops account profiles for top clients/prospects.
  • Develops and builds trust with prospects/clients by fulfilling commitments and handling issues in order to gain a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to clients and potential customers.
  • Manages the sales process by understanding client strategies and decision-making process, forecasting new business, managing the sales funnel, and following through to gain more business and maintain client relationships.
  • Works closely with workplace consultants to ensure all clients requirements are being met.
  • Stays informed about latest industry best practices and innovations.

  • Positive attitude and passionate commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) will be an asset.
