Furniture Service Technician – Atlantic Business Interiors – All Locations, F/T or P/T

We are growing and expanding our Installation and Service team! To support our continued success, we’re looking for an additional full-time team member at our Charlottetown PEI location.

Position Summary:
This position requires a dedicated, energetic, and team-oriented individual to join our Operations team based in Charlottetown PEI. If you have a positive, “can-do” attitude, and want to be part of a great team, this would be a great opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Load, transport, and install specified furniture in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and floorplans.
- Conduct on-site safety hazard assessments.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize the installation process.
- Complete all required paperwork for specified jobs.
- Ensure job sites are left in a clean and orderly manner.
- Operation of Company vehicles in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Uphold a professional and respectful demeanor while interacting with clients and colleagues alike.
Qualifications and Valued Competencies:
- General Carpentry skills.
- Mechanical aptitude (ability to use hand/power tools at a minimum).
- Ability to read blueprints as well as take direction from verbal and written descriptions.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Very punctual and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving Abstract.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Computer literacy including competence in Windows-based desktop applications.
- Ability to lift 70lbs on a frequent basis and be able to be physically active for prolonged periods.
- Ability to prioritize work, be flexible, operate in a team environment, work with minimum supervision, and interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and upgrade skills as required.
- High school completion or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
